We love When Pigs Fly at the Zoo! Their music is awesome, and the pig jokes are hilarious. Their sound is unique and perfect for everyone at every age. Plus, you never walk away from a show without learning something neat and new. We are lucky to have them play at the Zoo, and are always excited when they come back! Thanks for all of your great performances here, we really are lucky that you found us!
...you are in for a huge treat! The music is lively, melodic and GORGEOUS! Hard to describe, but imagine the best Irish reels you've ever heard, the prettiest acoustic folk songs, played in such a way that it is hard not to jump up dance! This year we have SIX musicians, many of whom double on various instruments. Last year the music just filled the cabin to capacity! The audience was enthralled and every one seemed to be completely enveloped in the experience. Personally my face hurt by the end of the evening from smiling so much. Its happy music, its beautiful and by far two of the best experiences of my life has been hearing this group play live!"

Featuring three hammered dulcimer players alone, the three year old Downey septet draws from a deep well of American and Celtic tunes. ...the freewheeling instrumental attack...the soft collision of the dumbek, bodhran, recorder, concertina, banjo, guitar, bass, mandolin, and just about anything else with strings.
